Card printer troubleshooting

Printed one or more horizontal white lines on the card.

a) Print head dirty: clean it with the cleaning pen or sponge stick.

b) Print head damaged: if the problem is not solved after cleaning process, the print head should be physically damaged or broken.You need change the print head. Dirty, dusty or uneven card surface damage the print head.

c) Print head service life expired: change the print head.

Card cannot feed into the printer

a) Feeding roller may dirty, clean it.

b) Not place the weight module.

c) Incorrect card thickness setting.

d) Feeding sensor damaged or need clean.

Ribbon broke during the printing

a) Printing area setting is beyond the card size.

b) Print head temperature is high.

Cards jammed: follow the instruction on the LCM screen to release the jammed cards.

Card printer cannot identify the ribbon type: check if the ribbon IC chip match the ribbon, re-insert the ribbon IC chip.

Too much white edge: follow the print setting steps to adjust the printing area, Printing Preferences=>Tools=>Print Position Adjuster
Card Printer Notes
In order to maintain the performance and print quality of the printer, please clean the inside of the printer regularly, including machine print zone, cleaning roller, TPH thermal sensing head and the air filter, card-insert mechanism and ribbon sensor. When you use the card printer, please note the following:

1. For obtain high-quality output, and make your printer more perfect performance, we highly recommend that you use the printer indoors or in dust-proof protection of the environment.

2. Please do not touch the printer head or use any type of liquid detergent to clean it, to avoid damaging the printer head surface element or affect the quality of printing.

3. Please use special cleaning kit to maintain the print quality after 200 prints or there is scratch or dust when print card result from the dust inside.

4. Please turn off the power after printing to avoid damage of printing head.

5. Please do not re-use any ribbons and cards that have already been printed on.
